To set the record straight, your interpretation of our conversation was not correct. I am sorry that you were an unhappy customer. But my recollection is that there was not any yelling involved.
You requested that I keep the boat so you could go on with your day. But before you left, I did my best to go out of the way to advise you of ways to keep the cost of your repairs to a minimum. You would have to see the condition of the boat yourself to see the need for the repairs. Electrical wires were all over the place and not organized in a safe manner. You had a serious issue with the tilt on your boat and I gave you two options for the cost of the repair. I explained that the electric motor was bad for sure and that if I was to replace that, I was still not certain if the hydraulics would work after installing it. Furthermore, I explained that if you replaced the whole unit for the higher cost, you would have a longer term fix with the part guaranteed by the manufacturer.
You explained to me that your finances would not allow for the higher cost and not replacing the whole unit.
Regarding the forms of payments that I can accept, I explained that I could accept cash or checks as I currently do not accept credit cards as a form of payment.
When it came time for you to pick up your boat, you only paid me $160 out of the $200. You essentially received $40 of free services.
Again, I wanted to reply so that the reader of your comment would understand more clearly what transpired regarding your service.
