Provided by YP.comDISCRIMINATION ALERT. I went to this place by myself on April 8, 2014, because my company sent me to the Detroit area for training, and one of my coworkers recommended this place. After I was escorted to the bar since all the tables were full, NO GREETINGS FROM THE BARTENDERS. I sat there for a while with nothing. I requested the food menu to the server who walked by. I received the menu, went through the menu, and decided what I would order. I was looking straight at the eyes of the bartenders and servers around me for a long long time, but NO ONE CAME TO ME TO SERVE. EVEN NO WATER BROUGHT. Then, this Caucasian couple came and sat right next to me. IMMEDIATELY, THE FEMALE BARTENDER SAID TO THE COUPLE, "I'LL BE RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, OKAY?" Really?? Seriously??? For you information, I am Asian. She asked the Caucasian couple what they would like to drink, and the drinks were right there in no time. I decided to just leave, and started putting my two cellphones into my purse while I was shaking my head. When she sensed that I was upset, she then asked me what I would like to drink. Of course I just left. I literally wasted my time and drove 1 hour round trip just to be discriminated against and humiliated in such a bold way.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is one of my favorites! I love the old church look and the community feeling. This place is loud with the sounds of people chatting and it's a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is always really friendly and super knowledgable about the huge selection of beers. I usually get the Cobb salad or the press, my dad orders the Mac n cheese every time. It's a very unique and fun place to eat.

Provided by YP.comWe saw the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' story on this eatery and decided to give it a try. First impression: inadequate parking but we waited for a space having driven over 50 miles. Once inside, we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for a seat. The noise level in this place is equivalent to a full-blown construction site – in other words forget any form of civil conversation.
After our food arrived, the famous macaroni and cheese was tasteless, desert dry and shockingly overpriced. A second bite of Caesar salad produced a long blonde hair with the crouton. Confronting the “manager” about this stomach-turning discovery failed to produce a satisfactory resolution. On the way home, I vomited the few bites of food eaten.
Needless to say, we will never be returning to this place and should you elect to try this restaurant after reading this absolutely true story, you should check your food for hair before partaking.
Beyond disgusting!

Provided by YP.comWe had heard nothing but good things about this place, so we were very excited when we finally had a chance to go. Wow, what a let down. We arrived about 3pm on a Saturday and the place was so packed you couldn't walk through to put your name on the list. After a 50min wait, we were sat down at a dirty table. The waitress was very nice. I ordered the famous mac and cheese that I found to be very very dry and nothing worth its $14 price. My husband had the ribs and he did not find them very tasty. He smothered them in the many sauces on the table. The place was so LOUD you couldn't even talk to each other. What a let down. We are sorry to say we were very disappointed. It was our first time and our last. Sorry Woodshop, you will not be getting our business again. But, as busy as you were, it probably wont matter.
