Provided by YP.comSushi Land is a less than 5 minute drive from my house, so I go there when I want sushi. The prices are fairly decent, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere very nice. The only problem I've had was the last time I went I ordered a Chirashi bowl and my favorite component, the octopus, was room temp and slimy. All the rolls I've had have been great though.

Provided by YPmobileGreat atmosphere. Terrific food. Friendly service. I lived in Japan for two years and Sushi Land is a welcomed addition to the Waterford/Clarkston area. Almost feels like a second home.

Provided by YPmobileDo NOT let the subpar name fool you, Sushi land is actually pretty good. Of course, it's not the highest quality like some expensive places in big cities... But it is very good for Clarkston sushi place. I got take out there last night for the first time and although we waited about 15-20 minutes for our order, the staff was extremely nice and we could tell some of the waitresses were being trained and the manager was doing a great job with them so we understood the wait and had no problems with it. There was a man playing the guitar inside which was nice to hear, but overall the inside isn't anything too spectacular. Again, it's Clarkston so I didn't have that high of expectations but it could use some more modern touches. Overall, the staff was nice, the sushi was very good and I will be returning again and recommending this place to my friends.

Provided by YPmobileWhenever we come here there are literally only 2 other customers, yet the food always takes FOREVER. Always more than 30 minutes. I think it's because they only have 1 sushi chef who is very slow. Would love to tell the owners of this place they really need to fix that problem.
Dear valued customer, We truly appreciate your sincere feedback. In response to your feedback, we now have 2 sushi staff and measured our current output leadtime to be 15 minutes on average & 20 minutes at max. Our recent customers have been extremely delighted and our Sushi Land is striving for the continuous improvement. Being new, more areas need to fine-tuned, but we will do our best to pull ahead the roll out for the exquisite & the extra-ordinary experience at Sushi Land. We truly thank your for your patience. Provided by YP.comThe food here is excellent. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as the restaurant is much more than just sushi. I've travelled all over the country and the Japanese cuisine here compares very favorably against any that I've eaten elsewhere. On each visit, I have always been seated promptly, and the waitresses have been very attentive to anything that I've needed. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Provided by YP.comMy husband & I have eaten sushi in many places, including London, Paris, Chicago, Florida. We were thrilled to find the best sushi we've ever tasted right here in Clarkston. My husband had a gorgeous and delicious sashimi platter with a great selection of fresh fish. I had two spicy sushi rolls that were both delicious and delivered the heat I was craving. Don't let the rather dismal strip mall location stop you. The restaurant is fresh and inviting inside.

Provided by YP.comHave been waiting for Sushi Land to open--finally it opened. Went for the first time tonight with my wife--Sushi is not one of her preferences! Short and sweet--GREAT VICTUALS. Even Marge loved it! I had the Clarkston Roll appetizer--delicious. It could have been a meal if you added a salad with a bowl of Miso soup. I also added their Bulgogi Beef, your right it was great too. Do not fear the "Sushi" it is much more than raw fish. Ask for Vincent ( known as "the handsome one") to wait on you, He will stroll you through the daunting bill of fare assuring you of a unique and tasty meal. You will leave Sushi Land with new culinary knowledge , You will find yourself announcing loudly "Let's go out for Sushi, I know this great little place!!"

Provided by YP.comWhen I walked in I was greeted and sat down. Our server came over and I greeted her. We ordered two rolls and it took a while to get the sushi because it sat at the sushi bar for about 5 minutes. The server walked by it a couple times and was confused about what to do with it. There was only four other people in the place. When she finally brought the over priced kroger sushi over I asked for another plate and it was covered in dust. The server never checked on us or gave us a refill. The one roll we ordered had a big chunk of cream cheese on the top. When she cashed us out we got no thank you or how was your meal, I was very disappointed with the service and the sushi.
