At first they seemed very professional and reasonably priced. However, I was promised my unit would look as good as new when he left. My ashpan still has a rotted out bottom. He was called repeatedly and he promised to come out but never did and he eventually stopped returning calls. Now, after hiring someone else to repair, I found that the job was done with used material, incorrect material, and is not up to code. Those of you who have been satisfied with his work in the past might want to get a second opinion.

Top Hat was very efficient and professional. Price was reasonable. AND they did a great job with cleanup! We have used Top Hat since 2013. John has done a great job in cleaning our chimney as well as recently professionally solving a chimney problem that needed solving for several years. November is a busy time of year. Top Hat continues to provide excellent service, reasonably priced, and a discount in the spring.

I have been using Top Hat Chimney Sweep for 15 plus years and they are top notch. John always is very professional and does a great job of cleaning my chimney and stove. His prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend Top Hat.

I am not happy with his service at all!!! He has not showed up 2 times and installed the wrong pipe. Then never came back to fix it. Now my house is full of smoke because he didn't install the inside pipe correctly. I called him and he said he would be here last week to fix it and still hasn't showed up. My stove has been is installed less than 60 days when this happened.

He was very professional at his job, and very thorough and clean at doing his job. Very reasonable prices and did extra work for free.
