Provided by YP.comUntil I visited America's Best Inn, I thought motel experiences like the one I had here only existed in movies or urban legends. I still have nightmares about it to this day!
In addition to the entire motel reeking of incense, the first room they gave me also smelled strongly of smoke. And, much to my horror, I found a huge chunky smear of crap between the sheets when I pulled back the covers on the bed! The woman on shift wouldn't give me a refund, and wouldn't let me talk to the owners who lived on premises. Before she was even willing to give me a new room, with sheets, fresh out of the dryer, that I was to put on the bed myself, and a whopping ten percent discount, she interrogated me as if this was a ploy to get a free room for the night. To make matters worse, in the next room I was issued, there were bugs crawling between the sheets! Again, the woman seemed skeptical of me, as if I'd planted them there myself. I told her point blank that I didn't want to stay in her dirty motel but that I wanted to leave with my money in hand! Even though this is way out of character for me, I spent about ten minutes arguing with her and yelling at her, and she still wouldn't issue me a refund until I finally threatened to call the Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Health!
It might be called America's Best Inn, but it's definitely Tennessee's worst! I feel sorry for anyone who winds up trapped spending a night there, and hope people read this review before they're doomed to that fate.
