Clarksville Park & Recreation is a department of The City of Clarksville, Tennessee. The department provides efficient, safe and organized programs and facilities for healthful and fun leisure opportunities. It offers 21 parks and three community centers for recreational opportunities. The department also maintains facilities for most recreational sports league play in the city and manages the seven community pools. Special programs and events are coordinated during the year for all ages. The Summer Program is just one of the programs offered by the department. It is a six-week program that provides safe and entertaining recreational activities for youth ages 6-16. The program is free and is hosted at 13 sites around the area. Heritage Park, one of the state's top soccer and softball sites, has eight baseball and softball fields and nine soccer fields and is host to several statewide and regional soccer and softball tournaments.
