The vision of our 501(c3) nonprofit organization is that ALL people have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through the power of work.Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is based in Nashville, Tenn. The agency serves 48 counties throughout Middle and West Tennessee, operating 30 retail stores and two outlet stores, about 53 Donation Express Centers and 13 Career Solutions Centers. The nonprofit is one of Tennessee’s largest employers of people with disabilities with more than 45 percent of our workforce reporting some type of disability or disadvantage. Although affiliated with Goodwill Industries International in Rockville, Md., we operate independently through our own governing board of directors. Goodwill accepts gently-used items that donors no longer want, need or use. Those items are sold either in our retail stores or online at onlinegoodwill.com. Revenue from the sale of donated goods helps fund job training services and programs provided by Goodwill Career Solutions. In addition to retail sales, Goodwill depends on several other revenue sources, including state and local grants.

well I tried to make a donation of plenty of men clothing from my roommate, the same day my roommate told me the rent money was in a pair of his pants, I went back explained what happened and was instructed to come talk to the manager, I got nowhere. The next day I made contact with the manager only to be told they had not found it when for sure it was in those pants that I gave full description of. I was able to recover his wallet from them but no money? That just does not add up. I called the manager again and she said they couldn't locate the pants. I am just saying: that very next day after the donation, they gave me the wallet, but no money. Goodwill will take and steal as if people don't give enough.

Worth the drive?

Grandmas, if you like to save money then this is the place for you! For everyone else, this location is not the best place. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE going to goodwill (especially the first saturday of the month--50%off everything!!!) If you want a good goodwill to go to in Clarksville, I would recommend the one on fort campbell blvd which is a lot bigger and has a lot better selection. BUT, if you need some costumes or stuff for a gig that you don't want to keep the clothes, this place is great for dress up.
