Provided by YP.comBooked an appointment to have both dogs groomed. They booked me for the wrong appointment. Having two dogs in my hands had me sign a paper regarding pricing. Which I couldn't take the time to read. checked out after waiting in a check out line for 30 plus minutes with a line backed to the end of the store. got home and realzed my dog was given the wrong bath. When booking the appointment I was very specific with the worker. I called to correct this and they wouldn't do anything about it because they got me on my signature. Very very disappointed in the service and retition. It's a rush job and a money hungry service for them. They are so busy but need to slow down and PAY ATTENTION TO STUFF. I shouldn't have to over work myself because of their mistakes. I shouldn't have to scream at them for them to get the hint okay this is what I want. If you work the pet depart why not have a worker specifically on the desk only not all over the place. Grooming and then having to bring the dog to the counter to answer a phone and then to deal with customers on top of it. Give your workers a break and hire help. This is pet smarts and poor managements fault.

Provided by YPmobileI just moved here to Clarksville. Went to the local PetSmart as I have dogs and an aquarium. Staff friendly. My issue is I won't ever buy fish there. The have a major parasitic snail problem. Every tank is loaded with them. If you bring one of these snails home to your tank you be over run with snails in no time. Talked to Josh the manager on duty today about it. Was told nothing could be done about it. While I was in store the other day getting dog food other customers were commenting on snail problem too. I hope someone reads this can fix this issue. I've never seen this in any other PetSmart

Provided by YP.comI wish i could give no 0/5 but thats not an option.
this is why,
I have taken my dog to PetSmart before in Missouri to get a bath and he was fine and happy when I dropped him off AND when I picked him up.
So when my husband and I moved to Tennessee, I took my dog to the PetSmart in Clarksville, TN for a bath. The first time he was perfectly fine when we dropped him off then when we picked him up he was acting weird. Then we took him back to the Clarksville, TN PetSmart for a bath, for the second time, and he was stressed out, scared, pulling, and then he peed on the floor. I am not 100% sure what this PetSmart is doing when they give my dog a bath but I feel that my dog's reaction was a horrible reaction, when my dog was perfectly fine before at the other PetSmart. AND he is NOT scared of baths when I give him them at home. So we have decided to not take him to this one anymore but this is just to let others know watch out for your dog's reaction to the people and places around him or her, if he or she is freaking out most likely the place is not too good or they could be handling your dog in a way they shouldn't be.

Provided by YP.comI called the Clarksville PetSmart this morning to see about getting my dog in for a nail trim, they told me I didn't need an appointment but I did need the rabies vaccination paperwork from my vet. No problem there. When I got to the store I spoke with the woman, I didn't see a name tag so I can't help with her name. I gave her my paper and she got my dog in the system she told me that since my dog’s nails were long they would need to be trimmed as well as the grinding, again no problem.
As I was signing the sheet for the visit I watched the woman drag my dog from beside me to behind the counter, a distance of around five or six feet. Literally drag, with the leash while my dog protested. When I told the woman not to drag my dog she apologized several times. I should have known right there to just ask for my dog back and leave but it had been a month since my dog had her nails trimmed so it was necessary. I waited in line to pay for the service but as I did I got more infuriated with the woman. Once I noticed her standing out front with my dog I went over and retrieved her but not before giving her a piece of my mind. I asked if it was in normal practice to drag animals when they don’t want to go with them. Her response, “No, it’s just to get them behind the door.” I told her that my dog was about thirty pounds so she is easily able to be lifted rather than dragged. I know that had I not said anything to her she would have found her actions justifiable and not thought them as being wrong.
I was raised in a household where animals were not just pets but they were family members. I grew up with more pets than humans in my family so I know how to treat an animal, and I know if that woman was dragged by her leash she wouldn’t have liked it one bit. As I said, I didn’t notice a name tag for the woman but she was in grooming attire. I hope this email will get read and not brushed aside because I feel that woman should be retrained in proper animal handling or be moved to another department of the store.

Provided by YP.comI scheduled a grooming appointment a full month in advance. On the day of the appointment, I called to verify the time and person. However his name was nowhere on the schedule and of course they were completely booked up for the rest of the weekend. After being put on hold and transferred to multiple people, I was finally informed by the manager that she did not know how this had occured. I was offered the choice of speaking with the groomer personally to see if my pet could be worked in or scheduling an appointment for the following weekend. I have been a loyal customer of Petsmart grooming (chattanooga location) for almost 4 years. However, I am very unsatisfied with the service and professionalism at the Clarksville location and will not be returning.

Provided by YP.comWe moved into a house from apartment living, and my allergy prone indoor dog suddenly got thrust into the outside world for his very first summer. Being a Scottish Terrier, and all black, and long haired, and allergic to everything, his vet and I decided the best thing for him would be to get shaved. Fearing for his poor ego, thinking he would look funnier than anything, I took him to PetsMart to get bathed, his nails trimmed and to get a poodle cut. I left him in their hands, worrying that, when I got him back, he would be the laughingstock of the dog world.
About 2 hours later I was called to pick him up. Lo and behold, the way they cut his hair actually made him look studlier! Although I had mentioned his allergies in passing, the groomers picked up on it and used a special oatmeal bath and conditioner on him! The staff was very friendly and seemed to very much enjoy their jobs. I was so impressed that I've decided to take him back every month to get his 'Spa" treatment.
