Provided by YP.comShockingly poor professionalism, very disappointed as a 19 year Valvoline customer. Vavoline recommended a transmission fluid flush be done at 32,000 miles on my 2012 Ford Escape. I accepted not realizing at the time that my manual recommends this be done at 150,000 miles! The vehicle did not shift properly on the drive home. I asked a relative who works on cars whether or not that was normal initially. He stated it was not and told me to follow-up w. VOIC. They topped off the fluid which did not remedy the problem. I took the vehicle right back, and they did it again stating it went low again. Again, same issue with poor shifting, so I turned around and drove it back. They topped it off again stating it went low again. At that point, the issue seemed to be resolved until the next morning when the problem returned. I called and requested permission to take my vehicle to Ford on valvoline's dime for a mechanic to examine it. The person on the phone said he had not seen my vehicle, so I should take it back and let him look at it personally. I called customer service at this point to ask for VOIC to give approval for me to see a Ford mechanic. VOIC Regional Manager Brian Banning told me that was not necessary because he would have his Goodyear head mechanic examine my Escape. When I arrived the next evening, that mechanic looked up historical issues with Ford Escapes on the computer and told me to go to Ford when I get a chance and have them look at it since it was under warranty. He did not offer for Valvoline to pay stating again my vehicle was under warranty. I was driving away when Mr. Banning called requesting me to bring the vehicle back so they could do more tests. After looking himself, he told me the vehicle had metal shavings in the fluid and explained that was my problem. He said the problem should be solved and requested I bring it back one last time the next day so he could do a final fluid level check. The next day, he was not there. I asked the head mechanic, who was there, where the metal shavings had come from since the fluid they put in was was brand new and since my car had had no issues prior to the flush. He said he didn't know what I was talking about. When I then asked what he thought had been wrong, he said it was "probably an air pocket in the fluid." I then requested a document that gave a diagnosis and the service they performed to remedy the problem. The store manager called Mr. Banning. Almost one month later, I received a letter that said nothing of the sort. There was no diagnosis whatsoever. I called Mr. Banning who became extremely agitated and somewhat nonsensical stating things like, "You don't want a letter because that will hurt your warranty," and "We see 100,000s of thousands of vehicles. Every vehicle is different." In the end, he stated he would not be providing a letter and refused to provide contact for any additional representatives stating, "Your vehicle is fixed. That is all that matters." Never again will I seek service at this Goodyear or Valvoline. So surprised by the lack of professionalism throughtout this entire experience.
