I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday & take him away to Clayton. I didn't want the "big" resort feel but rather a small intimate quiet atmosphere. This was exactly what I was looking for. The owner Bonnie is fabulous. So gracious & genuine. Captain Simon's B & B is a slice of heaven. The house is adorable. Our room was clean & cozy. Bonnie asked us what time we get up so she could bring up a pot of coffee. At 8:00 am the coffee was in the hallway hot & ready. Over the top service. Bonnie asked us before we went out for dinner what time we wanted breakfast & what did we want. Really? Where does this happen? She said she can make us whatever we wanted. Well let me tell you that our breakfast was made for royalty. Set up breakfast on the front porch area all ready for us at exactly 9:00 am. The conversations we had with Bonnie were warm & pleasant. The owner is a fabulous hostess! She made us feel like we were at home while visiting for two work-related trips. Each stay, I personally had the opportunity to stay in a different room. Each room was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and was unique and charming in it's own way. Bonnie, the owner and manager, makes delicious food. She was very flexible with our work schedule, making breakfast very early and even agreeing to pack lunches for our team. Thank you, Bonnie, for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a quick trip to Clayton, NY. We are so happy we chose Captain Simon's Bed and Breakfast for our overnight stay. Upon entering we were immediately impressed with the beauty of this Victorian style home. Bonnie, the proprietor, was charming and welcoming. Our spacious room was delightfully decorated with antiques. Everything was immaculate. The room included a 3 piece en suite. The bed was comfortable and adorned with numerous pillows. Guests are also invited to use a sitting area (with small refrigerator) in upstairs foyer, a den with large TV on main floor and another sitting room on main floor. The neighborhood felt very safe and it was quiet. A delicious breakfast was served in the gorgeous dining room the next morning. Bonnie graciously offered suggestions of places for us to shop, snack, dine and visit while in Clayton. The town is quaint and provides marvelous views of the St. Lawrence River. Everything was within walking distance of Captain Simons. Our quick get-away was definitely enhanced by our stay at Captain Simons. We hope to visit this Bed and Breakfast again soon.
