Clearwater Police Department s mission is to provide impartial, professional and community-oriented police services. Its criminal investigations division is responsible for the follow-up investigation of crimes occurring within the city limits of Clearwater, Fla., the analysis of crime trends and the provision of support and assistance to crime victims. The department s patrol division is responsible for the uniformed patrol functions of the department including 24-hour response to the initial investigation of crimes and incidents, traffic enforcement and control, accident investigation, community policing programs, crime prevention functions, specialized operations, such as SWAT, K-9 and coordination for special events.
