Design Freedom, inc. is a full-service small residential architecture firm promoting sustainable designs including accessibility, safety, and green.  We value quality materials, modern details, and vernacular design.  Serving mainly Tampa Bay and Northern Virginia.

Cathy Svercl, RA, is a registered architect in Florida and Virginia.  She first started drawing homes in 6th grade, and then attended Virginia Tech, graduating with a professional degree.  After several internships with architects in South Carolina and Maryland, she began this company in 2003.

She has 15 years experience on high end custom homes in the Washington DC metro area, the gated islands off Charleston, SC, and Clearwater Beach.  We have also worked with DC Habitat for Humanity as a volunteer, doing blockwork, stucco, and painting their GreenHome.
