Quality of work is poor. Owner Scott Suarez does not return calls. We hired JSS Property Professionals to remodel our kitchen and living room for our vacation condo. Nothing was done according to our specs. Wrong cabinets were installed, no report for mold remediation, no inspections from the City (per code), leaking dishwasher and he sat on the deposit for the new slider. Just to name of few of the issues we had. What should have taken 6 weeks took nearly two years. He is dishonest and does not tell the truth.

*** Poor Workmanship – Stole Money ***

I feel Drew's pain below. Scott Suarez is a neighbor no less. Not only did he do sub-par, inferior work but Scott never refunded (felony theft) $16,599.73 for returned flooring he never installed.(He picked it up)

How do you describe a person who takes almost $17k from your family? I've hired an Attorney to sue and get our money back!

Here are the details on each part of the shoddy remodel:

3 Window fills with stucco (had to hire another company to fix)

After just doing 2 window fills we had him stop before doing

the 3rd. The stucco cracked around the four sides showing a complete silhouette

of where the window was. He did it incorrectly - he did not cut out any of the

appropriate amount needed (about 4") of the old stucco around the window.

The seams of the old and news stucco should not be where the window is cut out

- that's how you get a silhouette

Kitchen Cabinet install. (had to hire another company to fix)

First he told us that kitchen cabinets can be installed on cement floor first before wood/tile floors. This is not true - you will have a

lip of at least 1/2-3/4 of an inch where you can't slide out refrigerator to clean behind it. You would also have to remove granite to get dish washer out for repairs, if needed.

Wood Flooring (Gulf Tile has tile – JSS wont refund money)

JSS and Gulf Tile sold me cheap engineered 3/8” wood flooring for $6.00/ft in which I later found for $2.28/ft at Floor and Décor.

So they accepted the return but refuse to refund my money of 16,599.83.

(this is comparable to felony theft)

(Note: We purchased SAME marble tile 50%+ cheaper at Floor and Décor vs Gulf Tile)

new Scott for a while through other business transactions so thought they'd be a good company to do concrete work. Scott came and quoted the price they did the work they did a good job on the work..... when it was done we discussed with Scott having his men come back to do some touch ups. had to call Scott 10 x"s he would say my men haven't been out there yet? no thats why i keep callin! then when I told him they did great work but the follow-through was poor

+ would not recommend them

never heard from Scott again.

I just wanted him to do the extra work he promised he would do for us.. plain and simple. I tried to be easy to get along with for 30 days calling nicely, ect. :(

honestly they did good work so if you do use them do not pay them until all the work you want is done, everything.

Complaint Description:

JSS Property Professionals does inferior workmanship and will not issue legitimate refund due customer. Scott Suarez is owner and manager of “JSS Property Professionals”. On January 3, 2013 we paid for a microwave cabinet and for two exterior doors. The microwave cabinet was never ordered so our money should be refunded. The first door was installed at the end of April. However, Scott ordered the wrong door for the second door, so we cancelled the second door. He will not refund the money that we prepaid on these items. Although work is complete, he failed to issue a final invoice and the refund. After repeated attempts, he will not answer phone calls, emails, or texts. I have written several emails explaining the refund we expect and why. He will not respond. While on the job his workers used our personal items, like lamps for work lamps and tables for step stools. They did not cover or protect personal items, like boxes of family photos. They stole a wicker headboard. It was returned in damaged condition. Scott never inquired or apologized for this incident or any incident that caused us inconvenience or loss of personal property. We expect to be refunded our monies in full. If this complaint can protect other people from hiring “JSS Property Professionals”, then it is well worth the effort. This is a company that should be avoided at all costs.
