Deception and money trap!

Morton plant will not tell you or estimate how long it will be untill seen! They immediately take your information and blood pressure so if you walk out 4 hours later, they at least have some of your money. My spouse sat for 6 hours with her shoulder out of the socket while two idiot doctors asked me how I put it back in. Then they billed me $5000.00 because the attending doctors didn't take my insurance. Freaking con artist!

BEST ER!

Was out of town with my two daughters (9 and 5) and my mother visiting my 101 y.o. grandmother. My oldest daughter was tired and ran into the door frame at the hotel which left a very deep gash on through her brow. Immediately, placed a towel and pressure on it and we drove to Morton Plant at about 10:30 PM about a week ago. We were all very tired and shaken up and beginning with the police officer at the ER entrance and ending with the last person with whom we spoke, we had the best experience (as good as it can possibly be) at the ER. EVERYONE was empathetic, helpful and VERY human. WE didn't feel like a number. The process of checking in was smooth, they gave both my daughters blankets (it was a bit chilly) to use. The speed at which each member of the triage team met with us was awesome. EVERYTHING was explained clearly and questions we all had were answered. This was our first visit to ER with my daughters. The sutures were done beautifully! The PA used the smallest thread and needle they had. My daughter was terrified but the staff there were honest and answered all her questions since she has a lot of them. They were patient and empathetic. My daughter had no pain since they put a local anathesia via cotton swab on the gash prior to using a needle to numb it some more. Thank GOD! The PA even asked how I was doing while I watched him placing the sutures! 13 stitches (3 inside and 10 outside) later my daughter was once again smiling and happy to have the traumatic experience over. She had worked herself up so much that she was trembling. The fear of the getting stitches was far worse for her than actually getting them. THANK YOU ALL at Morton Plant Hospital on the evening of July 22, 2010 and wee hours of the morning of the 23rd! Yesterday, my daughter had her sutures removed at the pediatrician's office. EVERYONE there who looked at them commented how excellent the sutures looked. My daughter's best friend's mother who is also doctor mentioned the same. We are blessed to have the most frightening moment for us turn out so well. We are also blessed to not have had anything more serious happen. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
