Premier Juices is a Florida-based partnership established in 1993 by two companies that had been in the business of selling and distributing concentrated juices since the 1970's. This partnership was formed in order to take two businesses and make them into a more efficient unit by combining their strengths. Both of these companies were involved primarily in the sales of citrus concentrates that were imported into the USA from Mexico and Central America. Since 1993, Premier Juices business has become more heavily involved with the sale of both citrus and non citrus concentrates from Belize, Costa Rica, and Mexico, due in large part to the growth of the citrus industries in these countries over the past ten years. The concentrates from both Belize and Costa Rica are allowed access into the USA without import duty under the provisions of the Caribbean Basin Initiative, and import duties from Mexico are currently being phased out under the North America Free Trade Agreement. These agreements help assure a competitive presence for the industries in those countries whose citrus industries are significantly smaller than the industries of the USA and Brazil. In addition to citrus concentrates, Premier Juices has other products available in both bulk tanker shipments and less than truckload shipments of drums.
