The City of Clermont Fire Department offers public safety, advanced life support, emergency medical services, hazardous incident mitigation, and fire suppression, prevention and education services. It offers vehicle and machinery, confined space, technical rope, trench and excavation, structural building collapse and water rescue operational services. In addition, the fire department offers services for underwater search and recovery operations. The City of Clermont Fire Department maintains the Urban Search and Rescue (U.S.A.R.) and Type IV Technical Rescue Team, as well as an honor guard. It organizes a range of child passenger safety, public fire education, and inspection and prevention classes. Established in 1884, the fire department maintains various fire stations in Clermont, Fla.
