My daughter started Kumon in Clermont back in June 2022, first I must say I was very pleased with how well Nikita explained the program to me and the measurable expectations, she is very thorough and organized. At the close of Kindergarten my daughter test results showed her reading level was approaching kindergarten!!! In just 3 months of working with Nikita, my daughter tested on level kindergarten and 7 months readiness (school tests) at the beginning of her 1st grade school year. The style of Kumon is to start the children at the level of deficiency and build up the skill. My daughter was struggling with blending her sounds and the different ways to say vowels. Not only did we see results in a short while, (we worked with her daily at home as well) but Nikita also was prepping her to do her work independently. That helped my daughter out a lot for 1st grade! I communicate with Nikita about things that are going on in my daughter classroom so we can be on the same-page as far as instruction is concerned. For example, in Jan. 2023, the teachers will no longer read the tests for the children. The children will begin to read and answer the test questions on their own. I asked Nikita if she could start to allow my daughter to read the instructions on her own COMPLETELY so she will be more prepared and she agreed! This is definitely a team work environment and I love it!! I wholeheartedly recommend Kumon of Clermont, don't think twice!
