Dave and everyone at Reilly Painting were absolute professionals. They assisted us through a difficult situation navigating insurances, other contractors at the property next door, challenging work conditions, and ultimately came up with a plan that got the job done on time and on budget. I highly recommend Reilly Painting & Contracting. They will take care of you.

My experience with Reilly Painting and Contracting and the owners Mike and Fiona Reilly was horrendous at best.
I am currently working in the medical field and due to unforeseen circumstances in January, I needed to move into a new place to finish up my last semester in school. A friend of a friend told me about a house in Cleveland Heights that was looking for another roommate and they’d allow me to do a six month lease, which was all I was looking for. Upon visiting the house, I met Brook Reilly, son of Mike and Fiona Reilly. He was a tenant in the house, but also worked for Reilly Painting and Contracting, and presumably took on the role of landlord in some situations. Brook definitely came off as narcissistic and dense, but I figured six months wouldn’t be a big deal as long as a kept to myself.
Before signing the lease, I was told that there would only be four roommates, and to my surprise someone else was moved in by the time my move-in date rolled around. That made five roommates total, three males and two females. I was also told that the females would have the second floor bathroom and the males would share the third floor bathroom – also a lie. The second floor bathroom was shared amongst two males, the other female, and myself. The third floor bathroom was only used by Brook.
When I moved in, the room I was taking was a mess. The floor was filthy, the walls were marked and scattered with nails, my door didn’t close, and I did not have blinds on my windows as promised. None of these issues were ever fixed. When I told them about my door, they offered to pick me up a door stop from the office.
The house and property was deemed non-smoking per the lease, but three of the five tenants smoked daily, including Brook Reilly. Brook also possessed and used illegal substances on the property frequently, and he also admitted that other Reilly Painting and Contracting employees did the drugs also. At one point, he even asked me if I had or could get anything – referring to prescription medications. Finally, one night when it got completely out of hand, I decided to leave the house and break my lease because I did not want the selfish acts of the other tenants interfering with my future.
After informing Brook that I was leaving, Mike Reilly contacted me and gave me the “he’s my son, I believe him” spiel, but he also agreed to work with me and get me out of my lease. Well, here’s another surprise, he didn’t help me at all. Actually, once I hung up the phone I never heard from him again. Instead, after not replying to my letter confirming my lease termination for over a month, Fiona Reilly sends me an email asking for my July rent.
I am infuriated with how Mike and Fiona Reilly treated this situation. Yes, I did break my lease, but for reasons that could harm my future. Unfortunately, my parents don’t own a family business so I can’t ride on the coattails of their success and live irresponsibly with no regards for others. Instead, I am building my own successful future, and surely putting these ignorant, unprofessionals behind me.
