let the show begin.

Let me say first that the teachers at any I Can School are high quality and well educated. With that being said I can schools are all for show. As a former teacher I can tell you that the management team puts on a good show for the parents and community. They lie and make things look as if its the best place on earth. The teachers are unhappy and so are most of the students. I Can has great potential to be an awesome charter school but the people to run and manage the teachers/schools ate idiots. Most of them are in positions that they shouldn't be in and know little to nothing about education. The schools have no resources. No books and computers that barely work. Which forces the teachers to work dat in and day out to create everything that is put infront of the children on thier own using what they can find on the internet. The employee turn or is insane. Teachers do not even get a lunch break and barely can leave the classroom to use the bathroom. If I were a teacher looking for a job I would stay away. You will be forever tainted and may never want to teach again after being under appreciated, over worked and paid pennies.

My sister was so very excited ...

My sister was so very excited to learn about the I Can Schools of Greater Cleveland. This school stands for Excellence, -0- tolerance with bullying, swearing and fighting. She thought she hit a gold mine when she discovered this school. She even took time out of her day to sit down with me and show me all the highlights that the school offered and wanted me to pull my son from Parma Schools and send him here, for a "higher level of learning" such as you would get in a college prep school. Well, within the last three weeks all my sister has received is a run around regarding transportation. The brochure stated that all children would be eligible for transportation to and from school but now she is being told that she may live to far away. I mean seriously? I think that should have been discussed prior to enrollment so my sister could have had some options, don't you think? Then today my nephew was HIT by another student. Yes, HIT. The school with zero tolerance for fighting issued a a detention to the child that hit my nephew. Yes folks, a Detention. The handbook has firm consequences when it comes to putting hands on students and all this child got was detention. It gets better, my nephew got a detention too! Sad part is my nephew never hit the kid back. But I guess this school teaches children that if someone is having words with you and you don't like what they are saying you have the right to hit the other kid. On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being the lowest score I would give this school a 1. Lies, Lies and more Lies and once again no justice and non-fair treatment. Believe me, if my nephew would have put a finger on another student he would have been suspended. My suggestion to my sister is: If you want fair treatment and you want to make sure your child is not hit, home school them. Shame on you I Can School of Professor Ave. You might want to consider changing the name to I Can't Schools. Just Saying.
