Provided by YP.comhad a wonderful first meeting here and was ready to give them my deposit for our date. We had a wedding of about 100 and met their minimum no problem. I gave them my deposit and also signed the form to reserve the date. its been about two weeks and I scheduled my planning meeting to go over details. I order my save the dates and invites and everything then all of a sudden I call them today to confirm my planner meeting and they tell me that they are in the business of making money and they bumped me for a bigger wedding that day. The VP as rude and had a didn't care attitude and said they would think about it. What is there to think about we paid the deposit weeks ago and signed the form? needless to say we are now out of a venue and have to check again. their minimum is 12000 we were spending 20000+ so I dont understand what their deal is. STAY AWAY!!!

Provided by YP.comThis is the worst place I have ever done business with. My wedding is in less than two weeks and honestly, I never would have had my event at this place if I knew how they would be after getting their down payment. Be aware! Take lots of notes and don't be afraid to take in a couple of extra people or even a tape recorder to document everything that is talked about along with pricing. Before the down payment, they will sugar coat everything and will put on fake smiles to get your business. After that, they are nothing but rude, disrespectful and money hungry. My reception alone is costing 30 grand and they are not satisfied with that, they continue to try to upsell and put in hidden costs into the contract. When you try to make changes because of hidden costs, they will tell you that you are wasting their time to try to make you feel like you are doing something wrong. Please do not be fooled by this company, there are so many other beautiful venues with better staff! I have definitely learned my lesson and know how to go about finding better venues for future events!! I hope this place goes out of business so they can stop hurting innocent customers!

Provided by YP.comLanderhaven was the site for our September 2012 wedding ceremony and reception. My husband and I wanted to take a brief moment to write about our experience in working with them during our year-long engagement! Our site coordinator was Madeline Repidonis. In general, we were amazed at the final product that came of all of our planning. The wedding and reception were breathtaking, for both us and our guests. The food was absolutely phenomenal – unparalleled to any other “wedding food” I’ve ever tasted. Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres selected for our cocktail hour and “midnight snacks”, as well as the main menu. Honestly, for the food aspect alone – I would give Landerhaven top marks. The service provided to us on the day of our wedding was also top notch. We had passed hors d’oeuvres during our cocktail hour – and there were a ton of servers presenting food to our 160+ guests. They made a point of seeking out my husband and I for some of these as well (thank you!). Dinner and bar service during the reception were equally wonderful. The one down side we had on this front was that responsiveness seemed to decrease as our event day came closer, and there were a few “miscommunications” as well. However, we were a rather needy couple with a very detailed wedding, and feel that Madeline did her best to keep up! The facility speaks for itself – it was gorgeous. They also did our decorations, which were breathtaking. I should also mention that it poured rain and hailed on our day – which called for a complete change in “the plan.” Landerhaven handled this splendidly – and I couldn’t be happier with the results! As far as the cost, we will admit that Landerhaven was very expensive. However, we honestly feel that it was worth every penny we spent to host our wedding at this facility. In general, we would recommend Landerhaven to others.

Hi Madeline,
Yes, yes, yes – the wedding was spectacular; I don’t know of anyone that didn’t have a good time. Vicki and Bill said that they partied into the wee hours with the bridal party and their friends. Those kids had so much fun and stayed until the very end of their reception. As we were walking to the hotel, we could hear them in front of us talking and laughing and having a good time and that’s what it’s all about. I had so many people come to me during the reception to say how nice everything was and a lot of those people weren’t even people that I personally knew. Some of what I heard that I hope you will pass along to your staff – Landerhaven has all the nice touches like butter on your own plate for your rolls; lots of staff taking care of us; food was so delicious – could cut the beef with your fork and chicken that melted in your mouth; fresh fruit was wonderful – not even a seed in the watermelon; certainly not “typical buffet” food; buffet moved so quickly; definitely a first-class wedding.
Someone asked me if I had some of the delicious appetizers; unfortunately, I did not but heard they were spectacular; everyone really enjoyed the outdoors’ cocktail hour. Bill’s parents had been to a recent wedding at Landerhaven but things were held indoors and having good weather on our side Friday allowed us to be outdoors to enjoy the beauty of Landerhaven’s grounds.
I saw Vicki’s dad yesterday to take him a set of pictures I had taken; he said he didn’t even realize how beautiful the setting was until he actually saw it in the pictures; we can’t wait to see the professional photographs; they will undoubtedly be awesome!!
Madeline – I personally can’t thank you enough for all the attention to detail you provided. I hope you can pass along this e-mail to your superiors or if you provide me with those e-mail addresses, I’d be happy to do that myself. Absolutely everyone on staff that I would run into was helpful and had a smile; none of that “it’s not my job” or “you’re not part of my wedding tonight” as I know there was another wedding there too; our guests were made to feel like they were they only ones there.
Vicki and Bill will be back from their honeymoon Friday night; I will certainly pass along your regards to them.
