Provided by YP.comI brought my great dane in for a yearly well exam and fecal test. Dr Vargo and his assistant took no time to familiarize with him before touching him. I told him to please take a few minutes to let him get acquainted. They told me they didn't have time because they had 2 surgeries scheduled. Because he didn't take any time to gain trust, my dog was leery and scared. This resulted in a well exam consisting of me, holding my dog while Dr vargo quickly listened to his heart beat, had me hold his ears so he could look from a distance into them, had me put saline drops in his eyes because he didn't want to touch him. He acted very nervous and fearful of my dog. The assistant didn't have any issues with him but was still clearly nervous. I ended up curing his nails yet paying for it. They were very rushed, very standoffish and I did everything myself. They then referredme to find someone who deals with large breeds regularly. Cold, short and not helpful! Never again!

Provided by YPmobileThis vet is a scam!!! Pls pls pls do not take any of your loved ones here to treat. My mother's dog passed a couple weeks after taking the meds. After 3 schnauzers with our first having so many health problems including liver, arthritis, as well as being diabetic and having only one eye left from elevated eye pressure, she strongly lived till she was 15yrs. Because of her, I can claim knowledge on many issues of this breed and what they are prone to.
My mother brought her 8 year old schnauzer here and Vago did not even diagnose her but gave rimadyl right away. Second time in was when blood work was done, after mother requested. Report came back with APL extremely high, triglycerides extremely high, protein high, all these numbers indicated liver problems, yet this Vago gave her meds to treat thyroids? After a a week of this meds plus rimadyl, the poor pup's liver problem escalated. My mother came home to a cold body after work. Dog has collapsed and passes.

Provided by YP.comavoid this hack at all costs. I paid to have my Dobermans ears done and they got horribly infected. he sent us off with our dog with a style of ear job I did not want and no antibiotics. end result is my dogs ears are falling off. another vet is doing their best to save the remaining ear. you can bet that this will be going to court.

Provided by YP.comI just thought that I would take a few moments to express how grateful I am to have met Dr. Richard Vago at the Snow-Ridge Veterinary Hopspital. I had some serious problems
with my German Shepherd, "Mandy", she had jumped over a barbed wire fence and tore
most of her lower groin and flank down to the muscle, she was bleeding profusely and was obviously in pain. I checked with our neighbor and he said call Dr. Vago or just go there, he's open now. I arrived in less than 10 minutes, rushed Mandy in the door without an appointment and Dr. Richard dropped everything and helped me get her into one of the treatment rooms. He observed how bad she was ripped by the barbed wire and immediately gave her a pain shot and some slight sedation. He didn't even know me from Adam and yet rushed to help my beloved Mandy. She started to calm down alittle and once he realized how severe she was torn up, that's when he mentioned about stitches and hospitalization. To make a long story short, Mandy came home the next morning and I was informed as to her after-care and set up the next appointment. She actually looked pretty descent, considering what had transpired, and licked my face and
walked slowly to the door, she then turned and looked at Dr. Vago, as if to say "thank you" then jumped in the van and we went home. I don't know many Vets that would just treat a poor animal, without first asking you to leave your wallet at the desk, nor any Vets that would be more concerned about an animal suffering than the "almighty buck" but thank god I found one last Monday morning. Thank you Dr. Vago from the bottom of my heart..............best wishes Sal-G

Provided by YP.comABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO, I HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH MY BELOVED PET AND FRIEND, MORRIS, A 2 YEAR OLD BOXER. HE WAS CONSTANTLY VOMITING AND WOULDN'T EAT OR DRINK. I HAD JUST LOST MY JOB TO "DOWN-SIZING" AND HAD LITTLE TO NO FUNDS FOR HIS TREATMENT. I HAD HEARD OF DR. VAGO FROM A FRIEND, SO I CALLED TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND ALSO EXPLAINED MY DILEMNA ABOUT FUNDS. DR. VAGO REQUESTED THAT I ATLEAST COME IN FOR AN EVALUTION AND A PHYSICAL FOR MORRIS. WHEN WE ARRIVED DR. VAGO GAVE MORRIS A THOROUGH EXAMINATION AND SAID HE SEEMED SICK ENOUGH TO HOSPITALIZE FOR AFEW DAYS. I AGREED AND EACH DAY CALLED FOR MORRIS'S PROGRESS. HE SEEMED BETTER EACH DAY AND ON THE FOURTH DAY CAME HOME. DR. VAGO FELT THAT HE PICKED UP A SERIOUS INTESTINAL VIRUS AND TREATED HIM ACCORDINGLY. DR. VAGO ONLY CHARGED ME A BOARDING RATE ON MY MORRIS'S HOSPITALIZATION AND HALF PRICE ON ALL HIS MEDS AND TREATMENT. I CAN'T THANK DR. VAGO ENOUGH FOR ALL HE DID FOR ME AND MY FRIEND AND PET MORRIS, BUT I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE WAY HE TREATED MY MORRIS AS IF HE WERE DR. VAGO'S. DR. VAGO YOU ARE TRUELY "THE GENTLE DOCTOR OF PARMA" AND I WILL REMEMBER YOU AND YOUR GOOD DEEDS FOREVER. SINCERLY, PAMELA
