The Elco Corporation produces and sells additive packages and components for industrial lubricants, including hydraulics, gear oils, metalworking and grease. Its product line includes sulfurized products, dithiophosphate chemicals and other specialized products and lubricant packages to solve customer formulating needs. It also produces high purity hydrochloric acid for the semiconductor industry and specialty chemicals including pyrroles. Its Ultramax hydrochloric acid product line meets the most demanding semiconductor specifications and is also used in various applications, including pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Elco Corporation was founded in 1927 and is headquartered in Cleveland. It operates an additional production site in Ashtabula, Ohio. The company is a subsidiary of Detrex Corporation, a manufacturer of PVC, CPVC pipe and custom extrusions.
