My daughter has been going to Caywood Karate for approximately 4 years now. She continues to learn and I personally find the instructors quite impressive. Three of the instructors were recently recipients of their 8th degree Black Belt and 6th degree Black Belt. They care enough to continue learning as well as teaching.

Misleading

I called around to all the local schools looking for a good place to train for my family and I. I have noticed that they all teach great self-defense and teach very well, however Caywood's seem to talk bad about the other schools. This is a real negative for others and myself. The truth is, you should try out each place and make a decision based on your own experience and not what they tell you on the phone or in person. I have found out many things that an unknowledgeable person would never realize until you have signed on the dotted line. From our expeirence, I would not take this particular marital art, as you will be disappointed later on. Kids like what they see on TV as well and there is no actor or anyone that partrays this type of karate. You need to lean toward Taekwando, Caprica, or a jiu-jitsu if you want what you have seen on the big screen or tv.

Great School Great Teacher

My family and I agree with the assessment of Ms. Shamblin. We need more folks like her working with our youth. Very Trustworthy and Honest and Fair.

Ms. Shamblin is Wonderful

Ms. Shamblin is a real lady who gives so much to the children. I am proud to be a parent with children at her school.
