RENTERS BEWARE: Mr. Davis rents apartments on Raben drive that he personally owns under the assumption that crye lieke realtors is handling the deal. He recently took a 400.00 deposit to hold an apartment pending background checks. The applicants paid for and cleared background checks and 24 hours later they decided to withdrawal from renting the apartment, after calculating and deciding that it was not the right price or place to rent for the amount of money mr Davis was asking. Mr Davis was contemplating not returning any of the deposit. (Please note there were no promissory notes or leases signed) but he relinquished 300.00 via personal check instead of the original 400.00 cash deposit, he said he lost money by declining to show the rental to others. Mind you this was within and no more than 24 hours later! This is not fair to anyone! I don't know how many times this man has kept OP's money under the farce that it was "guarenteed". There is no guarantee until you sign the lease on the dotted line Mr Davis-Keeping other people's money for no reason isn't the way to do FAIR BUSINESSES in today's world. I will be posting this notice from one side of the web to the other to let others know to be VERY CAUTIOUS when renting from Jim Davis of crye lieke realtors of Cleveland TN.
