I have been taking scrap to Kessler for years and preferred them over the other scrap yards in the area. until yesterday i took a pickup load of aluminium cans (63 large trash bags) and was told I had 48lbs and given $24. I regularly scrap cans but only have 3-5 bags. I receive $10-15 depending on scrap prices. I told them I didn't agree with the weight and would take my cans elsewhere. I was told the cans had already been mixed with others to weigh and my weight is the difference. So I couldn't have them back I had to except the $24. I'm on a fixed income and feel they stole $ from me. The last thing I was told was " we are very busy and don't have time to deal with you losing $3" it isn't only the $ which was more than $3 it's being treated like I was stupid and refusing to return my metal.
