My daughter was going on 3 when she started. She has never been to daycare and is only used to being with family. I was very nervous about how she would do. The first day we went to check out the studio she was comfortable around Ms. Darlene. She went to her, talked, and stayed in the studio room alone with her. I was very pleased to see that. During her first few classes she did not want to participate. Being around a group of others was very intimidating to her. I was in class carrying her on my hip. The staff was supportive and encouraged me to stay in there. After we got over that hump we have not had any problems. My daughter talks about dance everyday. She talks about her friends, her teachers, and she is dancing all the time. Her exposure here has definitely made a positive impact on her social skills. She is more trusting of others. Overall, I love the school. The other children and their parents are also very pleasant.
