0 stars. Do not use Giovanni for snow removal services. He is unprofessional and unreliable, and as a result, we have been completely snowed in our house for 5 days. We hired Giovanni to plow our driveway which is quite steep and winding. With heavy snow, this driveway needs to be plowed many times or it quickly becomes impassable, and we thoroughly discussed a snow removal plan with Giovanni. We even ran into him the morning of the storm, and he assured us he would be over to plow our driveway numerous times throughout the storm. It started snowing at 7:30am on Friday. He came by and plowed when there were about 3 inches of snow on the driveway and said he'd be back in a couple of hours. We tried to contact him several times throughout the day to let him know that the driveway was really getting buried. It was clear that the roads were going to become impassable. He finally returned a phone call at around 7:00pm and said he would be right over. By the time he got to our house over 12 hours into the storm, it was too late. He told us not to worry and said he was going to go home, change, and come back to start snow blowing so he could catch up. He never returned. When he finally returned a call, it was Monday afternoon and he acted as if he had no idea who we were. He told us that there was nothing he could do, and his best advice was to ask our neighbors what they did. Although we had an extraordinary amount of snow, if Giovanni had come and plowed the driveway several times during the storm as planned, we would not be in the predicament we are in today. Giovanni's website makes it sound as if he is able to handle heavy snow, but he is not - "Heavy blizzards can keep you locked-up indoors for hours – Giovanni Lawn Care, LLC can remove the snow and get you back on the road in no-time at all. We are available 24-Hours a day for Emergency Clean-ups."



It is also it worth noting that Giovanni has done a poor job even under typical snow conditions. He is not careful and has destroyed parts of our yard and run over plants. Prior to the blizzard, we had been trying to find a new plow person, but this proved to be an impossible task in the middle of the winter season. All of the people we contacted were booked with clients for the season.

We hired Giovanni Lawn Care to do our spring clean up, and they did such a thorough and careful job that we've decided to replace our old landscaping company with them. We've been in our house for ten years, and Giovanni Lawn Care is on our short list of Best contractors in the area.
