I took my Chevy Tahoe to Brakes-n-More in Clinton Mo. for ac repairs they estimated the job at 200 plus freon about 50 dollars more., then they called me 20 minutes after I got home said it was compressor and would be 450, I said ok fix it. Then at 4:50 they called said it was done. When I got there it was not blowing much cold air, the lady I paid had walked me to my car for some reason, I said it's not blowing much cold air, the lady said turn it up to max a/c, so I did, then I noticed it was on red for hot air not the blue for cold air, I pointed that out to the lady and said how did they test it for an hour if it was on heat/not ac, she tried to laugh it off then she left. I sat there for 3-4 minutes wondering why it was not working normal, they were going to let me drive away, but I sat there waiting for the a/c to start blowing, then it got weird my friend who gave me a ride was checking to see if I was gonna be ok to drive or did I need a ride then when my friend came up to my car as I lowered the window they hollered from 20 feet away I had to bring my Tahoe back next morning at 8 am so they could fix the vacuum lines, they had made it so about 90% of the air comes out on your feet. When I got home, I called them back to say hey this is not right, then the owner an I got into a shouting match over whether they tested A/C while it was on heat setting???, the owner said he was gonna "throw me off his lot", then he hung up on me. I called back and he agreed to fix the vacuum mix-up the next morning said he was rushed finishing it, he said it would only take a few minutes, next morning I show up at 8 am, they were very rude to me and the mechanic looked under hood then said it was under the dash and it would takes a couple more hours to fix the vacuum lines that did work, I did have defrost before I went, at that point I said I was leaving and I would have my brother an attorney contact him, then the mechanic got aggressive with me, then the owner came up and started to hiss at me and started to hit me in the head, I was simply amazed then the lady threatened to call the police on me, haha, I sat there in their bay in my car and refused to leave, and I called 911 for help myself, I told the policeman, the story and said I was gonna stop payment (Visa card) till they fixed their mistake hooking back up the vacuum lines.The policeman said I could not stop payment as that would be a crime of theft of services, so now I have no recourse except to take my car to a different shop to get Vacuum lines fixed, I don't think these are bad people, but they made a mistake and tried to bully me, almost hit me and then charge me to fix what owner said he did wrong as he was in a rush, use at your own risk. If they would fix it I would take this down, The reason I got it fixed is I am moving to Springfield in 3 days, this Saturday, so I will need a/c there, oh well call me "Cold Feet"
