Built in 1920, The Redland Theater was originally known as the Rialto. It started with live shows. Plays, magicians, and comedians all performed here. It originally seated over 900 people which was impressive for a small town. The stage still has the pulley system, counterweights, and ladders that were once used for live shows. At some point it became a movie theater. Sound movies were introduced ~1927. Looking at pictures from the 20s and 30s my family and I went to work taking it back to as original as possible. After 100 years, this amazing theater is open once again as an event venue and bed and breakfast. Our goal is to honor the history and the workers craftmanship. We think you will agree, this is the place to be.
