I have been a thrift store junkie for several years now and this is my absolute favorite!



There is a great selection of items and prices are absolutely amazing. I have gotten designer silk suits in perfect condition for $12 and trendy shorts for 50 cents. I bought a beautifully embroided Christmas sweater for $2 (all other thrift stores were asking $5 - $15 for sweaters nowhere near as nice. it was obvious it was about $50 - $60 new)



The only downsides are that things are sorted by category and that's it (just like most thrift store sadly enough). it does take time to sift through everything...i wonder when they will come upon the innovative strategy of sorting by clothing sizes?!



Also, there are only 2 changing booths. Still i appreciate that they have them (I've been to a couple with NONE!) and its not generally much of a wait for them except during sales or busy periods.



One of the other things that are great about this one is its location. It is on Gratiot on a strip where there are 5-6 thrift stores within about 6-10 blocks of Gratiot. When I have gone looking for particular items, I have actually gone to all the thrift stores one by one. Whoever thought of collecting all together had a great idea.



Still, of all the thrift stores on that section of Gratiot, Sunshine is the absoulte best for price and selection. Did I mention the prices are amazing?

I love going to this store. There is literally something for everyone. Vintage clothing along with new styles at unbeatable prices.

One plus to visiting Sunshine is that

it is huge therefore they carry a lot

of items. Plan to spend the day to

go through aisles of clothing. Plus

they have weekly markdowns!
