Clover Middle School serves more than 500 students in grades five and six. It employs a staff of more than 50 teachers and offers instruction in math, social studies, science and language arts. Its math curriculum includes classes in number theory, geometry explorations, division, computation, fractions, exponents and algebra. The school s social studies classes include a variety of instructional materials and strategies, such as novels, primary documents, atlases, lesson plans and classroom activities. Located in Clover, S.C., the school s media center offers a wide variety of nonfiction books in the areas of history, languages, sports, drawing, crafts, cooking and biography. Its fiction section includes realistic and historical fiction, fantasy, mysteries, science fiction and scary stories. In addition, students have access to newspapers, magazines, an online card catalog and Internet.
