DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

My dog Roxi was in pain. I took her in and said I thought it was her mouth. I’m 77 yo and not a vet but she wasn’t eating or drinking. They ran labs for $373 and told me the next day they were normal. I had to ask a lot of questions to drag the information out. And they had sent her home with no pain meds or anything including no diagnosis. I have the printed labs and they are not normal. They justified drawing labs for nearly half of my monthly income in case she needed dental work and sent us home. By Saturday morning I awoke my daughter in AZ because I was desperate to help Roxi who was crying/whining in pain in the background. She had me contact Pet Care who could hear Roxi crying and had me come down immediately. By the time they came to get her from the car Roxi could no longer support herself. The vet phoned me to relate the devastating news. She likely had cancer, her spleen had ruptured and she was bleeding massively internally and had to be put down. We’ve noted other reviews since then regarding care by Amy Smith and I truly believe she should not be practicing veterinary medicine. My daughter phoned on my behalf to ask for a refund due to my limited income and was refused. I do not want to see another family go through such heartwrenching circumstances at the hand of incompetency. Even a cursory exam would have produced more information than I received on May 14th.
In contrast, my daughter took her elder Beagle in for senior panel lab work and when that vet (obviously some amazing expert in comparison to Amy) obtained the results she let my daughter know based on the lab results (much like Roxi’s) that Jazzi likely had cancer and didn’t have long to live and she didn’t recommend any further treatment. That test was $149 for the same labs. Major difference between compassion and price gouging during a pandemic and taking advantage of the elderly on limited income. Not to mention the tragic outcome.
