IF YOU HAVE INS THEY DON'T TAKE, YOU CAN'T PAY CASH. This is discrimination.

I have been to Clovis Urgent Care a few times. At first they were courteous and accommodating. They did not take my insurance so I opted to pay cash. The accepted and at my second visit, they submitted my bill to the insurance co. (on their own, not at my request) and I received a discounted price. I was thrilled!



But when I came back recently and needed them to see my daughter, they again did not take her insurance so I told them I was happy to pay cash (the wait time for the office that did take her insurance was upwards of 3 hours and the waiting room was packed with sick, coughing adults and children. NO WAY was I staying there!)



This time, they refused to see her. They said they wouldn't allow me to pay cash as a private consumer. I am outraged that they turned us away. Doctors are supposed to care about their patients, not find loopholes and create policies that hurt the public.



If you want to be seen at a decent facility and you have crap insurance, you may not want to mention it. In this day of "for-profit" care, consumers have to find ways to get the care they need any way they can. I opted to lie at a second Urgent Care facility, my daughter was seen within an hour and we were not exposed to a room full of disease. Sometimes it is necessary to bend the rules, I paid full price, $100+. I don't regret doing what I had to do for my family. Good luck!

This Urgent Care Office has a most professional, courteous, friendly and competent staff.
