f possible, I'd give Star Communications of Fresno ZERO STARS!
My girlfriend and I saw these guys (Briona and Gilbert) at a home and garden show. We had current internet (84 dollars a month) and they offered us a Direct TV and Internet for 80 dollars a month. Their sales pitch was they are local, you can call us directly, you don't have to call the phone bank of ATT. My girlfriend had current Internet and Gilbert advised us instead of me starting with a new Internet Account, to accept billing responsibility for my girlfriends account. When I did that, that made me a current customer instead of a new customer. I was told by ATT that me being an current customer excludes me from any promotional prices.
I've tried calling about 20 times to Star Communications to talk to Briona or Gilbert and only get a receptionist who promises me a return call. I have never received a return call. The receptionist refuses to give out their direct number or their emails.
So, basically they lied about everything. I'm assuming I'll never see my 100 gift card either. I'm also going to report Star Wireless to the BBB and I'm also going to print out these reviews and go the Home and Garden Show in Sacramento next year and hand them out to anyone who walks up the their booth.
I'm on the phone with ATT now and they're working on giving me the promotional rate. ATT has been great. The Direct TV installer was excellent.

one star is too high for these guys. Gilbert made a promise that he would handle my account personally and that my second year would only increase $10- then it increased more than $60! I have called over 15 times in the past 4 work days and each person says that they will talk to Gilbert and call back. LMAO! Never happens. IF Gilbert happens to answer the phone he hands it off to someone else who knows nothing. I have had to start from the beginning of the problem by phone more than 10 times. In short, promises are made that are never intended to be kept. These people are very dishonest. Do NOT trust them. They are a joke. The person who reviewed this service prior to me should be elated that the service was never installed by this company. I am stuck and $#@*& for another 9 mo.

UPDATE: After about 20 phone calls pleading for help and waiting on hold for over 20 min I was told the best they could do would be to take $25 off bill each month. I am very happy with that HOWEVER, I am holding my breath to see what the balance actually is since the total she was taking the $25 off of was $20 higher than my statement balance. I may be only ending up with $5 off? !



UPDATE...I did only end up with a bill of $5 less . I am going to file a complaint against these clowns and Directv with the BBB and go without food for a while to pay for my early termination, but in the end I will be so much happier without Gilbert and Crew.

I CAUTION ANYONE THINKING ABOUT DIALING THIS NUMBER TO BREAK YOUR FINGERS FIRST!!! THAT WILL CAUSE YOU MUCH LESS PAIN IN THE LONG RUN...

This company is a joke! They take your information. Your ssn number your credit card number. They set up a date for me to install service. A 2 hour window.NO ONE came not even a call. Called and talked to a "MANAGER Gilbert. He promised me someone would be here the next day we said we would give me a month free service. And he would personally make the trip out here him self. In fact he promised. The next day comes and no one shows up and no call AGAIN!! Since then I've have been trying to call him and left numerous messages my husband has called my mother has called and no response. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY. who knows what they did with my info. I don't know how they can call themselves a business.
