I am severely disabled and this court house will not excuse me from jury duty. My teenage son is freaking out, trying to figure out how to get me to the courthouse for jury duty. My kids are scared that I'll be arrested, even though I'm incapable of basic every day tasks. My kids give me food and take my shoes off, and correct my speech or let me know when I'm not making sense. I can not function outside of my home normally and I'm going to be arrested and put in jail for being physically and cognitively incapable of jury duty. Disgusting.
I'm writing now so when the arrest me I can prove that I've let everyone in public also know that I'm disabled. I've already sent the court medical documentation stating that I can not drive or walk, and that was not good enough for them. I also have a young child not in school and I'm a single parent. Guess I'm supposed to let a 5 year old who doesn't start school until next year stay home alone so my other kids can work on getting me to the courthouse for jury duty, where I won't be able to understand audible speech and have to read things 4 times or more to understand what it says. You guys are going to get sued.
