The University of Idaho is a learning center that provides a variety of graduate, undergraduate and certificate programs in the fields of agriculture, architecture, engineering, natural resources, foreign languages and law. Established in 1889, it serves more than 18,000 students from various U.S states and over 90 foreign countries. The university offers courses in business law, aerospace studies, naval science, biochemistry, and electrical and computer engineering. Located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, it conducts classes in anthropology, economics, interior design, psychology and journalism. The university also provides instruction in entomology, sociology, hydrology, and family and consumer science. The University of Idaho operates research and extension centers in various cities throughout Idaho, including Aberdeen, Caldwell, Dubois, Idaho Falls, Kimberly, Moscow, Parma, Salmon, Sandpoint, Tetonia and Twin Falls. Its library and media center features a collection of nearly 2 million books, periodicals, newspapers, government publications and audiovisual equipment. The University of Idaho is a member of the National Association of State Universities and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
