Eddies Aquarium is by the far the best store in the capital district and probably best in the upstate area. His staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about all their products in the store. Eddie the owner is always available and jumps right into action ensuring customer 1st satisfaction. Buying fish or a tank GO TO EDDIES

If you are new to the hobby, I would be very cautious here. At first when we bought our tank and supplies, Ed was supportive and attentive. His marine service was caring for our tank weekly. When things started going south in a big way, Ed was extremely unsupportive, blamed us, and would not back up his merchandise. Staff are very nice, however. It's a good place to pick up what you need, if you are basically independent with your hobby. Beware of the "Sales Pitch"---THAT'S what smells fishy in there!!
