Doreen's Dance CEnter is the best place in the world I just love to go there everyday and learn a whole new part of my dance

My daughter began dancing at Doreen's Dance Center when we first moved to the Colchester area when she was in 5th grade. I, myself, have been dancing since I was a young girl and also as an adult.



It was apparent right away that we had chosen an amazing studo for our daughter. Doreen provides a great role model in high morals and values for our young ladies. She has a way of making all the children who dance at her studio feel as though they have always done their best.



My daughter soon joined the dance company, in which she participated in National Competitions on a regular basis. At these competitions, it became clear to me how different our studio really was. I witnessed parents yelling at their children, with teachers doing the same....all in order to win a trophy. I witnessed unbecoming behavior of the students of other studios, toward our children. All along, Doreen provided kind words of encouragement and kept her dignity toward the students and the parents.



I have witnessed her backstage giving hugs and words of kindness to young children going onstage for the first time. I have seen her calm parents and treat her staff with respect.



Besides the fact that Doreen's Dance Center continuously wins awards both in Dance Execution and Choreography, the studio is also a positive role model for our young daughters in this difficult world.



I am so happy that we chose Doreen's Dance center for our children. My daughter has now been involved in Doreen's Dance Center for 10 years now. I would highly recommend this studio for anyone new to the area, or anyone just looking for a change. It is an awesome place to be!!!

I have been a dancer my whole life and my mother is a dancer and we agree that you can learn to dance anywhere. What sets a studio apart is weather you feel a warm inviting atmosphere when you and your child walk into the studio. Do the teachers treat the children with kindness and make them feel special?Here at Doreen's the students have fun and learn at the same time. The teachers treat the student like their own children. I have even seen the receptionist bring snacks for the students that have break and don't get to eat dinner. Besides for the wonderful atmosphere the staff at the studio is very well educated and passes wonderful knowledge and technique onto the students. The studio is a home away from home for the dancers and I wouldn't have my daughter dance anywhere else!

Doreens Dance Center is an exceptional dance studio. They treat their dancers like they are part of their own family. They push you to do your best possible, and make you work hard. They honistly care about every single one of their students and would do anything to help them. They are always there for any one of their dancers, whether the problem be at dance or outside the studio. They teach you more then dance there. Every one of the teachers there has a good attitude towards every student. All of the staff is very welcoming to new students and members. Doreens Dance Center is an amazing place to grow up in. And I can't thank them enough for all they have done for me throughout my years there.

This dance studio is the place to go for top notch dance training in all types of dance, as well as the place to go where the owner and staff all care very much about the students well-being. They go out of their way to help kids in many, many more ways than just teaching them to dance. Some of their dancers are now professional teachers and performers. But so many of the dancers are thriving in college and their personal lives because of the care and concern Miss Doreen and her staff have given our girls. Miss Doreen's studio has been going strong for 23 years, which has to tell you something! This is the place to go for dance if you live in Colchester, East Haddam, etc.... It has been a great experience for us.
