Kristine OMalley is an occupational therapist at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She specializes in working with patients with neurological conditions including brain injuries, concussions, multiple sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy, neurological movement disorders, Parkinsons disease, spinal cord injuries, and stroke. She uses multiple rehabilitation techniques and is certified in LSVT Big, a treatment protocol designed to increase movement in people with Parkinsons disease.Kristines clinical interests are varied, but recently she has been focused on evidence-based practice for the evaluation and treatment of visual impairments in the neurologic population. She also continues to streamline concussion care and stay up to date on the latest research.Kristine finds the most rewarding part of her career is meeting patients and problem solving new ways to improve their level of independence. She enjoys learning from her patients and uses new information to improve treatment for all.Kristine understands that a patients time is precious, especially at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic.
