Located in Cold Spring, Ky., The Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services provides a range of assistance services to various school districts. Established in 1986, it offers cooperative services in special education. The cooperative works to make educational programs and services available on a regular basis. It also analyzes problems and devises solutions. The cooperative works to make resources of other organizations available for the mutual benefit of the children, youth and adults of the participating districts. In addition, The Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services offers the Challenge Program, which provides individualized instruction within an alternative school setting for students who participate in Kentucky s alternate assessment program.
