We called ahead the day before and asked them to hold a specific model for us based on their inventory.

We drove two hours to get there and that trailer was parked right outside their office door on our arrival.

Immediately upon walking in the door, I asked the elderly man there if they sold trailers? He looked at me with a non-verbal reply (don't waste my time are you here to buy a trailer or waste my time).

I immediately got serious and down to business - told him who we were and began asking a quick succession of succinct and informed questions. That man instantly responded succinctly and thoroughly to every question.

We arrived at 10:50 on a Saturday; they were scheduled to close at noon. Regardless, they were happy to direct us out into the lot to see some other optional choices when we told them we wanted to make sure to purchase the right trailer for our needs. He also let us know what was being delivered to them soon.

At 11:50 we selected one on the lot.

They had the paperwork done (I can register the vehicle and find the forms myself after being a driver for 44 years and acquiring scores of vehicles) in five minutes and we walked out the door to see the trailer ready to hitch to our car (it was brought down from the back end of their lot).

Everyone was happy, and customers and owners/staff all got off at their exact closing time of noon.

We had seen these other reviews prior, but went to them because of their selection and quality products.

How one runs a business is up to them; there is not one right way. They have a good product and are not talky folks, however, if you stick to "business" and are prepared to conduct business - and you work with folks in the manner they appreciate, often I find they move to work back with you in the manner you prefer.

The trailer and service to me was great, and having that elderly man open up and sincerely help me find the product that worked in a time-frame that appealed to both of us was the best...

Johnson Trailer was supposed to have 2 trailers inspected and ready to go when we got there because we were driving quite a distance with two one ton pickups. Got there to find one trailer with front end damage (you can't tell me they didn't know the damage was there if they infact did their inspection, but hoping we wouldn't notice). They were unwilling to give ANY discount on the trailer or work with us on the price of a larger trailer. All they were willing to do is order a new plate and have it delivered to us, making the installation our responsibility, knowing that would most likely void any warranties on the trailer. Poor management if you ask me!!!!!!

Called to get a price on a trailer and whoever I spoke to (some older man) was downright rude and arrogant right from the get go. So glad I had this experience before I bought. Can't imagine how horrible they would be to deal with if I had an issue.

Great Customer Service.When I ran into trouble on the road, they were right there to help me out. They replaced parts quickly and free of charge even though they and their product were not the source of the problem.

"Avoid at all costs." If your looking for a stock trailer you might fare well. Might is a leap of faith though. If you have any questions be prepared to pull teeth and receive the worst costumer service available. Looking for a place to spend your hard earned money and be made to feel you're putting someone out for the product they sale then you've found the right place. Good luck..............you'll need it if you shop here.

If you want full service, go somewhere else. Although the trailers manufactured for them are very good, their support is far less that I would have hoped for. Not just the fact that they are arrogant enough that they feel they don't have to answer questions - "there are the trailers, go take a look." I guess I was an interruption. I have purchased two trailers from them in the past. They did not help with the registration on either trailer. They did not even give me the forms to fill out. I had to tack this down on my own. When I called back for their help, I told them that their lack of support was the reason I went elsewhere for my last trailer. They said, "Well, you can go else where for this too." I have purchases four other trailers from other dealers, all have which have taken care of the registration for me. I will never buy anything from Johnson Trailer again. I am not sure how they stay in business.
