With covered parking and an unlimited food plan the callaway house costs $14,488 for about 8 months. Move in was August 17th and move out is May 8th, but you must leave over Christmas holiday. I live on the 2nd floor and didn't realize this was frat castle until move-in week. The callaway is 85% fraternity and sorority students, with around 20% Blinn and 80% A&M. Due to the high rate of frats, there is always a party going on and some nights the noise is unbearable. The callaway staff do nothing about the noise and pretend to not notice the alcohol. Also, the callaway is extremely close to the train tracks and at night you can almost always hear train noises. The food is in yummy at breakfast time with a yogurt bar and omlette station. Lunch is okay usually, and you can always just eat their salad. However, dinner is a combination of the leftovers from the earlier meals and brings back images of crawling cafeteria food. I tried their "home cooked station" once and spent the rest of the night in the bathroom. Do NOT waste your money on the unlimited plan. I suggest 1 or 2 meals a day depending on your schedule and how far it will be to walk/bike back to the Callaway for lunch. If you can, the actual campus food at A&M is MUCH better and at the same price. Overall, the callaway is okay, but not as good of an option as a dorm. I regret my decision to stay here because dorm life is such a big part of meeting friends and finding your group. Also, it's SO nice to be on Campus and not have to leave for meals or when you forget to bring something. The dorms may look like little prison cells, but you'll be so busy with college life, you'll find the only thing you use your room for is a crash pad. Also, the rooms are NOT in the same condition as the model.

NOT FOR THE SMART

WHY WOULD SOMEONE WASTE THIS CRAZY AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR A PLACE NEXT TO RAILROAD TRACKS. tHEY GET ABOUT $3200/MO FOR A 4BR UNIT. OH IT DOES COME WITH A MEAL TICKET,POOL AND GAMEROOM. THINGS YOU DONT NEED IF YOUR STUDYING. YOU CAN GET THE WHOLE 4BR 4 BA AT UNIVERSITY PLACE CONDOS FOR $1200-1300 A MONTH. THAT WOULD LEAVE YOU WITH AN EXTRA $2000 A MONTH THAT YOU COULD GET A GYM MEMBERSHIP AND BUY A LOT OF FOOD. AND YOU WOULDN'T HAVE THE HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPLE LOOKING OVER YOU CONSTANTLY. CALLAWAY HOUSE IS A STUPID MOVE.

CALLAWAY VILLAS IS THE SAME. MAKING MILLIONS BY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS
