Canton Intermediate School serves more than 400 students in grades four through six. It provides special instruction in areas, such as physical education, math, English, science and social studies. Its physical education program includes physical fitness, dance, leisure games, team sports, human anatomy and cooperative activities. Located in Collinsville, Conn., the school offers student services and facilities, including a guidance center, special education, social work and speech and language programs. The school s special education staff offers instruction and remediation of deficits through an integrated program of reading, writing, spelling, oral language and mathematics. Canton Intermediate School also maintains a library that contains more than 14,000 volumes and an online database.
