Established in 1975, Tussing Elementary School provides a range of educational services to students in kindergarten through grade six. The elementary school provides learning opportunities to more than 700 students. It operates a parent-teacher organization that works for children s welfare. Tussing Elementary School s students are members of the Safety Patrol program. It also has a student cooperative association. Tussing Elementary School is governed by Colonial Heights Public Schools, which is a school system that manages several elementary, middle and high schools. Colonial Heights Public Schools schools are accredited by the Virginia Board of Education and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
