Dr. Newman began HHTC in January 2009, and works with children as young as age 3. She also counsels adolescents, and adults, individually and/or with family members. They often feel depressed, overwhelmed, and face a tough reality: They will never trust again. Many are struggling to save their marriages. Others are wondering what's best and why. They come to HHTC to explore the answers, share the pain, face their wounds and travel a New Path that helps them break out of dysfunctional relationships, allows boundaries and helps them make positive decisions.Women also counsel with Dr. Newman on a number of issues that aren't addiction related. Issues range from relational issues and adjustments to a new life phase, from rearing young children to facing 'empty nest syndrome. They may have suffered the loss of a spouse, parent or child, or simply face the "Who Am I, What Am I" questions of middle age. Dr. Newman counsels women and their familes through numerous issues that manifest sadness, depression, anxiety and anger.HHTC believes in the family. This unit is the foundation for personal growth and success, yet no family is perfect. Dr. Newman's imperative is to help build family units by counseling with an entire family, couples and/or individuals. She is adept at working with teens, and even children as young as 3 years old. She also has a heart for special-needs children and their families. Dr. Newman's specialty is to diagnose and treat children with learning and neurological disorders. She helps children and adolescent face some of life's toughest obstacles, such as divorce, death, sexual abuse, rejection and loneliness.
