After graduating from Texas Tech University, BrockBordelon, MD attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He then fulfilled a general surgery residence at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City from 1988 through 1994. While there, he completed a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at the University of Utah Laser Institute as the John Dixon Fellow for Minimally Invasive Surgery. He has stronginterests in GI tract surgery and robotic surgery.Dr. Bordelon is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, among other regional and national professional societies. He has served on the Colorado Medical Board as well as a number of hospital committees at Penrose/St. Francis. He and his wife have three wonderful grown children, and enjoy biking and travel.
