Provided by YP.comMy experience has been pretty much the opposite of the others who have written reviews. Too often, I feel like psychiatrists treat their patients poorly and like they aren't capable of understanding their own treatments. So often, concerns or questions about medications and effects are discounted or ignored. This has not been the case, for me, with Dr. Caster. I find that he is always happy to answer any questions that I have and he seems to genuinely enjoy teaching me how the medications function and informing me of the differences between medication options. I have a friend who seems him and, while she'd had a good experience, she hasn't gotten all of the in-depth explanations that I have. I think that a major factor is simply your interest and whether or not you express a desire to really understand your treatment. Anytime that I've been unhappy with something that I'm taking or feel that any kind of change is due, he's listened and acted on it. It is true that, if no changes are neccessary and everything is good, apointments are only 10-15 minutes. You pretty much walk in, he asks you how things are going and if anything has changed, writes up your refills and you go on your way, but if anything does need to change or adjustment, he gives plenty of time to discuss it. He does not do therapy. He's not a councillor, however he has offered to make a referral to one, if I think that adding that would help. He deals pretty strictly with treatments through medication, as many psychiatrists do. I really think that he's worth giving a try. If you're clear about what you want and you are willing to initiate discussion, you might find that he's a good match for you.

Provided by YP.comDr. Caster is the most vile doctor I have ever had the misfortuane to encounter! If you value your sanity and the proper functioning of your brain, STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HIM! I'm quite sure that I was nothing more than an uninformed human experiment to this DANGEROUS DOCTOR. Unfortunately, I was under his so-called care for about 6 months, during which time he would place me on a too-high of a dose of an antidepressant (too high to start the medication with), then this creature would suddenly take me off the medication after two or three weeks. He did this the entire time that I saw him. He did this until finally because of the extreme chemical cocktail that my poor brain was forced to endure, I had a psychotic break with reality and nearly got myself killed. All of this and a subsequent misdiagnosis by well-meaning doctors that didn't understand my situation destroyed several years of my life. THIS MAN SHOULD NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE! By the way, I also have a friend who went to see him for depression and after a few months of Dr. Caster's mismanagment of medications, my normally peace loving friend wound up getting in a fight with someone and jumped through the glass of a closed window to get away from the person. THIS MAN'S EXISTENSE AS A DOCTOR IS A TERRIBLE RISK TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!!!!
