I chose Dr. Murk because of all the wonderful reviews he had received. He is fantastic, great beside, never in a hurry, spends plenty of time explaining and answering questions. He fixed my back. I'm doing so much better. Would refer my family to him.

Horrible Office

My mom went to this office trusting them with her spinal fusion, she is in so much pain at such a young age. The doctor and front office staff didn't submit the surgery, which mind you was already scheduled, to insurance until two days before surgery and called the day before her surgery telling her it was denied by insurance. Not only did she go in upset, then the Dr. lied to her about submitting the surgery to insurance. When he walked into the room after surgery was denied he then proceeded to treat his nurse with disrespect, and not even have the common courtesy to introduce himself to my father. We attempted to call the office manager and ask why this wasn't submitted to insurance, and she never called back even after we tried to follow up. I would not recommend this office to anyone, except Dr. Murk. I hope you got something from this in order to find another office with more professional doctors and staff who are there for their patients and their pain needs.

CSNA Changed My Life

Dr. Murk and Dr. Illig performed a lumbar microdisectomy that eliminated 100% of my chronic spinal and sciatic pain that I had suffered for over 6 years. Their PA and staff were top notch. For a surgery I was very nervous about Dr. Murk was confident and reassuring yet also up front and transparent about the risks involved. Dr. Murk is the best doctor in skill and manners I have ever seen. I continue to recommend these guys with high regard to anyone in need.

no recourse or settlement for failed spinal surgery

I am of the opinion that Dr . Michael Brown chose to not take financial resposibility for failed surgery by his friendly attitude which attempted to frequently schedule appointments to take past the statute of limitations for filing a suit for malpractice or personal injury. Subsequently I must live with the negative results for the remainder of my life.

Dr. Murk is the best! He spent time answering all of my questions and concerns. Sometimes more than once. He is kind, funny, professional and a good surgeon. He performed serious surgery on my lower back, and I have felt great since. His staff is busy but always helpful and knowledgeable. I hope I don't need his services again, but if I do I won't hesitate to call on him. I highly reccommend him.

They drove 200 miles for a back surgery appointment only to be told there was no surgery scheduled. The way I see it, is you owe my mother $30 for gas due to your inability to communicate properly re: exactly the reason for the visit. You also need to refrain billing my mother's medical insurance. I will be placing a call to her insurance company to let them know that if they are billed for this appointment, they need to call you first to find out exactly what the charges are for. You have had phone calls from my family stating that if this visit was just for consulation to let them know. Our impression of your C/S so far isn't very positive. I will be calling tomorrow.
