My auto policy and umbrella policy is serviced by Don Bates Insurance. I recently backed into a car and found my claim experience to be wonderful. My agent was able to help me navigate the claim process and my car was fixed very timely. It feels good having a knowledgeable and service orient agent backing me up when I need it!

I find the agents at Don Bates Insurance to be very responsive and feel their true concern for me and my protection. They go out of their way to explain the coverage I have and items I should consider with my business insurance and personal home/auto insurance. When the fires were raging in my area I received a personal call from them providing me with the steps I should take. Thankfully my home was not impacted, but if it would have been, I felt comforted knowing my agent was already thinking about me and my family. If you want an agency who cares, I highly recommend Don Bates Insurance.

Don Bates Insurance at 2407 W Colorado in Colorado Springs is the worst. They underwrite for Hartford Insurance. Don Bates offers the worst people and the worst service I have even seen. They care more about their business relationships then their client relationships. Here are my first hand experiences: After some home damage I called to get SERVPRO out to clean up after the initial cleanup I preformed due to their inability to simply tell me when they were able to make it out to my home. Still I had only spoken to Angie, the assigned Hartford/Don Bates Insurance agent, once for over three weeks she refused to call me back or answer my e-mails. I was frustrated that there was no one on the other end helping me get my home back in order. I got so feed-up with the lack of communication I asked for Angie to be removed from my claim. I was then assigned Larry Doby. This clown was not much better and kept putting me off due to family problems and his children’s soccer games. I h
