Provided by YP.comMy mother lived at Freedom Home for two years and got the most kind, loving, care possible. We became family with the nursing staff and will always be grateful for Laura and her loving touch. At the end of my mother's life, she was surrounded by love. Our family was able to be with her and she was given loving care every single minute of every day by the staff. I look back on the time we had with my mom at Freedom Home as one of the most loving times of my life. I will forever be grateful and hope I am fortunate to live somewhere as nice when it is my time to pass from this world.

Provided by YP.comMy mother has been in the good care of Freedom Home since 2014. She is very happy there and we can now sleep at night knowing that she is being taken care of by experienced and loving caregivers. Honestly, these folks are angels and go out of their way to make all the residents happy and comfortable. We've been at large "assisted living" facilities and the care my mom gets here can't compare with anywhere else. The price is extremely reasonable too!

Provided by YP.comSsh...one of the best kept secrets in the world. Well, they're not trying to keep it a secret, it's just that this is such a rare place few in the world are blessed to see such a place let alone have themselves and/or their parents and family living in and experiencing such a wonderful place. The last days of life and passing away should not be the final insult and abandonment like it often is, but rather coddling and loving and honoring and respecting, kind of like what happens when a baby comes into the world. Leaving should be the final blessing, not the last insult.

- We have three staff during heavy AM and PM care times, two staff throughout the day, and one awake staff at night. Special visitors provide music, church services and dog visits. Staff and visitors interact through stories, photos, memories, music, cooking, gardening, exercise, walks, painting, etc. Family or friends may stay with us bed and breakfast style. Families can gather in our extra living room for celebrations. Our large deck facing west enables residents to enjoy the fresh air, mountain and sunset views, outside meals and parties, and container gardening. Hair, laundry and housekeeping services are provided. Rates are fixed throughout their stay and include everything except medications, which are billed to insurance by the pharmacy. Co-pays are billed to residents/family members. Rates are $4,500 for a shared room, $5,500 for a private room. We are not accepting Medicaid at this time. Long term care insurance and VA income, as well as private pay, is accepted.

- Assisting residents with activities of daily living As a hospice RN in Colorado Springs, I had the privilege to care for and encourage elderly people, focus on their comfort, and strive to make their lives as easy and enjoyable as possible. Being in many types of senior living situations, it seems to me that the small senior homes make it easy to watch and help when residents are in need. Increased staffing at busy times RN-trained CNA caregivers Housekeeping chores at night provide awake night staff able to interact with residents Staff assists residents with hobbies Staff dines with residents during the day.
